MPK – Łódź Spółka z o.o., beside transport activities and passenger service, also conducts activities in the services area performed by auxiliary units of the Company, first of all, Rail and Network Plant and Technical Plant.

Rail and Network Plant is one of the best technically equipped units of such type in the country. Activities connected with maintenance, repair, conservation of tracks, networks and substations comprise the company’s business area, which is ordered by the commune of Łódź. The plant has also conducted many works outside our city (among other things, in Szczecin, Wrocław, Kraków, Pabianice, Gdańsk, Elbląg, Ozorków and Zgierz).

Technical Plant is experienced in the field of repair and mending of transport means as well as in production and regeneration of units and parts, mainly for trams. Equipment and technological level of carriages modernized in Łódź correspond to the highest technological trends of high-level floor vehicles. The high level of modernization causes that the Company offers its product to other firms of societal communication. The result of these procedures is signature of contracts for repair and modernization of trams (among other things, from Gdańsk, Poznań and Silesia). Described plant also conducts modernization of the bus fleet.

For many years, the most important item in the Company’s additional revenues has been advertising. The Company provides an extended offer of so called comprehensive service. Besides space rental, the Company also provides services in terms of placing advertisements on vehicles.
